Flynn James Sullivan
May 30, 2000 – April 20, 2021
Flynn was exceptional – right from the start. Our beloved Flynn has an amazingly large and diverse fan base that spreads far and wide.

Flynn spent his days connecting with people by sharing his countless hobbies with them. Flynn was a Renaissance man; he always knew something about everything. There was no such thing as a dull conversation with Flynn. His diverse interests allowed him to have a truly special connection with so many different friends and family members. His love of food was unparalleled. He remembered everything he ever ate and kept rankings of his favorite foods that he religiously reviewed and updated.
While Flynn loved so many places, none was more special than Frye Island in Sebago Lake, Maine. He circled that weeks’ vacation on the calendar. Flynn always packed more into one day than most people would in an entire week, and this was most evident on Frye Island.

With his photography Flynn showed us how much he loved Frye Island, Narragansett, Newport, Jackson, Belmar, and Ireland. We are blessed to have his photos, so we’ll always be able to see these places through his eyes.

If you ever needed something done then you put Flynn on the job, and he would say “I’m on it”. He was the real adult in the room who kept things in check and made sure there was follow through. Everyone who has had an extended conversation with Flynn has been treated to his advice. Most times it was pretty darned good advice.

Our Renaissance Man was worldly beyond his years, an old soul with an uncommon level of maturity for a person his age.

Flynn was exceptional in how he conducted himself during his time of adversity. Flynn did not complain. Flynn did not feel sorry for himself. Flynn felt better when he made someone else feel better. In his last weeks, he was calling friends also battling serious illnesses to provide encouragement and support. He was sending gifts through the mail to lift the spirits of people he loved. Cancer did not get the better of him. It did not take his mind, it did not darken his heart and it did not diminish his spirit. It revealed to our Flynn Nation the quality of his character, his selflessness, and his courage. He has set a simple, powerful example for all of us, and his spirit lives on in each of us.

May God bless you Flynn. You are truly exceptional. The depth of our grief knows no bounds, but we are so proud of you. You left us too soon, but God couldn’t keep you out of heaven any longer.
